Robot Vacuum Cleaner Privacy Policy & Terms of Service

Introduction

This Privacy Policy and Terms of Service govern your access and use of our smart robot vacuum cleaner devices, mobile applications, cloud services, and related smart home features. This legal document clearly defines how we collect, store, use, share, and protect user data, as well as the rights, obligations, and service rules for all users.
By activating, connecting, operating, or registering an account for our robot vacuum products, you fully acknowledge, agree, and accept all terms stated in this policy. If you do not agree with any clause, please stop using our devices and services immediately.
This policy complies with global mainstream data protection regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, and other regional IoT privacy standards, ensuring standardized and secure user data processing.

1. Information We Collect

We only collect necessary data to support normal device operation, intelligent cleaning functions, and after-sales service. We will never actively collect irrelevant personal privacy data.

1.1 User Active Submitted Information

Account registration information including user name, contact email, and login credentials; service reservation information and feedback content you submit through the official app or support channels.

1.2 Device Operation Data

Basic device data includes device model, device SN code, firmware version, network connection status, and operating time. Cleaning record data covers cleaning schedule, cleaning area, working duration, fault logs, and equipment operating status. These data are used to maintain device stability and optimize cleaning performance.

1.3 Environmental & Spatial Data

To realize intelligent navigation, path planning, and whole-house cleaning, the robot vacuum will automatically scan and generate indoor home maps, spatial layout data, and obstacle identification information. All spatial data is only used for local cleaning operation and cloud backup authorized by users.

1.4 Auxiliary Permission Data

With your explicit authorization, we will obtain mobile device network permissions, location permissions, and Bluetooth permissions to support device pairing, remote control, and automatic connection functions. We do not obtain camera, microphone, or sensitive privacy permissions without user consent.

2. How We Use Collected Information

All collected data are only applied to the following legal and compliant scenarios, and will not be used for unauthorized purposes.
  • Device Operation Support: Realize intelligent path planning, automatic obstacle avoidance, timed cleaning, whole-house coverage cleaning, and automatic recharging functions to ensure normal and efficient operation of the robot vacuum.
  • User Service & Maintenance: Identify device faults, push firmware upgrade patches, provide after-sales technical support, and solve user usage problems efficiently.
  • Product Optimization & Iteration: Analyze anonymous and aggregated device operation data, optimize cleaning algorithms, navigation accuracy, and product performance to improve user experience.
  • Security Risk Prevention: Identify abnormal login, illegal device access, and malicious operation behaviors to protect user accounts and device usage security.

3. Data Storage & Security Protection

3.1 Data Storage Rules

User device data and spatial map data are stored in encrypted local device memory and authorized cloud servers. We only retain user data within the necessary service cycle. When you unbind the device, log out of the account, or apply for data deletion, we will completely clear the corresponding data in accordance with regulations. Anonymous statistical data can be retained for long-term product optimization.

3.2 Security Technical Measures

We adopt industry-standard SSL encryption transmission technology for all data transmission processes to prevent data interception and leakage. Cloud server data is protected with multi-layer encryption, access authority isolation, and real-time security monitoring. The device has built-in data encryption chips to ensure that local spatial data and operation records cannot be tampered with or stolen. Meanwhile, our team regularly conducts data security training and security audits to fully protect user data security.

4. Information Sharing & Disclosure

We firmly abide by the principle of non-disclosure of user private data and will never sell, rent, or trade your personal privacy information to any third party for commercial purposes.
We only share user data in the following compliant scenarios: First, with user’s explicit voluntary authorization; Second, in response to legal requirements, judicial investigation, or government regulatory official orders; Third, sharing anonymous and desensitized aggregated data with technical service providers for product algorithm optimization, which cannot correspond to any individual user or family scene.

5. User Rights & Control

You have full independent control over your personal data and device data:
  • Right of Access: You can view device cleaning records, cloud data backup, and personal account information in the official app at any time.
  • Right of Modification & Deletion: You can modify personal account information, clear local map data, delete cloud cleaning records, and unbind device data independently.
  • Right of Authorization Cancellation: You can turn off network, positioning, Bluetooth and other permissions at any time. After closing, individual intelligent functions will be disabled, but it will not affect the basic manual cleaning function of the device.
  • Right of Complaint & Feedback: If you have doubts about data processing, you can contact our official customer support team to apply for data verification and protection processing.

6. Service Terms & User Obligations

6.1 Service Scope

We provide users with permanent basic device use functions, free firmware upgrade services, and daily after-sales consulting services. Paid extended warranty and customized services shall be subject to separate service agreements.

6.2 User Usage Specifications

Users shall use the device in compliance with national and regional laws and regulations, and shall not use the robot vacuum and supporting services for illegal surveillance, privacy infringement, illegal operation and other improper purposes. Users shall bear all legal liabilities arising from non-compliant use.
Unauthorized disassembly, modification, cracking of device firmware, or use of non-official matching accessories will lead to service failure, and we have the right to terminate the free after-sales guarantee service.

6.3 Service Limitations

We do not guarantee that the device and cloud services will be completely uninterrupted and error-free. Temporary service suspension caused by network failure, system maintenance, force majeure factors, or user improper operation does not belong to our service default.

7. Policy Update & Revision

We reserve the right to update and revise this privacy policy and service terms according to product iteration, service upgrade, and legal regulation changes. After the policy is updated, we will publish the latest version through the official website or app notification. The revised policy will take effect immediately after publication. Continued use of the device and services after the update is deemed as recognition and acceptance of the new terms.

8. Liability Exclusion & Supplementary Provisions

We will strictly protect user data security, and shall not be liable for data leakage, loss or damage caused by user’s own password leakage, unauthorized operation, third-party network attack force majeure, and other non-our reasons.
If any clause of this policy is deemed invalid or unenforceable due to regional laws, the remaining clauses shall still remain valid and enforceable.
